About Me
Here is a little information about Anthony and his misanthropic interests. He is a follower of The Way (a.k.a. "Christian" in the common vernacular) and devoted husband to his glorious wife Karen. They live in California and have been married for ten years. They have three children, Benjamin (8), Hannah (4), and Titus (1). Anthony's place of birth is Torrance, California. In fact, his wife and he were born in the same hospital (Hannah too, whereas Benjamin and Titus were born in the other Torrance hospital). He is a software developer by trade and his current assignment is at Sabre Holdings where he works with the Java platform for most of his projects. In addition, he is also a Ruby enthusiast. One ruby project he has done is the Martin Studio web site.
By night, he works with his good friend, Aaron, on a project that will save the world, using a development platform known as Objective-C.
Hobbies include extensive writing on more often than not unfathomable topics, organic gardening, imprisoning the cat when no one else is home, and talking about himself in the third person (this sentence left intentionally awkward). Here are all of the various profiles and social networks he is on:
- AIM - AOL Instant Message ID. This one is rather old, but he still use it.
- BackType - Did you know everyone has a BackType account, even if they haven't signed up? Yeah, you might want to claim yours. It's sort of like Twitter only different. Then follow Anthony's account while you're at it.
- BitCoin - Get it. Send some of your CPU cycles his way: 1HdckWa6ppu98v8BccHhZtCZG5rpvNZn1M
- Blogger - Everyone should have a Blogger/Blogspot profile.
- BOINC - He uses idle time on his computers to cure diseases, study global warming, discover pulsars, and do many other types of scientific research.
- Dipity - A time-line style view of his writings and other postings from various sources since 1998.
- Facebook - A very popular and successful social network. One of the best out there.
- gmail - Google Mail ID. Also good for gtalk when he is at work (or on a stupid EDS proxy).
- GeekChart - It's a pie-chart representation of the last 30 days (see below).
- Google Profile - Can Google do a better job at social networking than Facebook?
- Google Shared Items - Links to many articles he liked or found interesting, most with brief comments by him.
- Google Notebook - Lists various interesting notes he has made public.
- ICQ - Does anyone still use ICQ??
- LiveJournal - His tertiary blog.
- me.com - MobileMe (dotmac) Instant Message ID. This is primarily for messaging him when he is at home.
- MeetUp - "Maybe it's time for a little less face-to-screen and a little more face-to-face."
- Posterous - The place to post everything. This is his primary blog.
- Skewz - A place to read conservative and liberal stories selected by users. This is his personal profile. His blog has one too.
- Slashdot - News or Nerds, Stuff That Matters. He used to be a lot more active here. Many of his goofy comments can still be found.
- Twitter - Microblogging. You should follow him (check: follow cost).
- WallStreetSurvivor - Here's his fantasy investment portfolio.
- Yahoo! - They reset it so meh on them!
- Chomp - Where he posts his opinion on various iPhone/iPod touch apps.
Here's another way of looking at it:
Here is a list of favorite articles on Anthony's own blog. Most of them are written by him, but there might be articles that he is highlighting in his blog for various reasons.
Here is a list of audio files that are probably on Anthony's iPhone. They are hand picked by Anthony and he listens to all of them at some point.
Finally, here is a list of Anthony's all-time favorite articles not written by him. The number of articles here is fairly short, but the articels are sometimes fairly long.
Oh, and here's a QR code to send payments to Anthony by bitcoin. Why make it easy when there's a hard way to do it?
To send payment with this code, get out your iPhone and download this app: BeeTagg. Scan the above QR code and copy the address it finds to your clipboard. Then (still on your iPhone), log into your MyBitcoin account and send your payment to the address you copied from the above QR code. If you don't have a MyBitcoin account, you'll need to fund it from the desktop you run your bitcoin client.
Or, if you want to send a donation "the simple way" use: Send Bitcoin Donation
